All during Thanksgiving we kept hearing that two girls from Scott's home ward were on a float during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Since we didn't see them on Thursday (I'll have to go back and watch on DVR!), I decided to look them up on YouTube today. Katie and Courtney Jensen are apart of an all girls a cappella group, Noteworthy, from BYU that competed in the first season of NBC's show, The Sing Off.
Anyway, found this video of Katie and Courtney singing and love it! Thought I would share.
Um I think Court is the only one in the parade- and she's no longer a member of Noteworthy- she's in the Backbeats... She's in the parade because the Backbeats will be on the sing-off next month and members from each group were invited to be on the float. She was on the show last year as part of Noteworthy though... FYI
ReplyDeleteGlad you clarified because I kept hearing it was Katie that was on the float. Well good luck to Courtney! I just watched a preview for the show, and that may become my new Glee!
ReplyDeleteOne of the members of Noteworthy is in my ward and during the summer they whole group came including Courtney and performed a couple of hymns acapella. It was amazing, they are even better in person. BTW...Ben LOVES the show the sing off. He has a count down to the new season. He never missed an episode from last season.
ReplyDeleteChristie has it almost right, Courtney was in the parade and not on a float but on the stage in front of the judges. And yes, she is in the Backbeats and the show starts on Monday, Dec. 6th on NBC. Here is the the link to the performance in the parade http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfMzrhBNAAc And it is great to see that you loved the girls youtube videos. Thanks for sharing them on your blog.
