My idea of food storage is always picking up something extra of things I use regularly -- cream of chicken soup, spaghetti sauce, canned fruit, mac 'n' cheese.... I know Sherida would have an argument for how that kind of stuff is not going to do me any good, but I always just teased her that if situations get serious, I'm just gonna show up at her door!! Sounds like a good RS meeting -- I didn't go to ours last night; the topic was women's health issues. It is a tad over the top. But, it still has some useful information for people living in tiny apartments (like me) that can't stock tons of extra supplies.

The big things I got from it were these:
1) Plan ahead for disaster by picking a meeting location and reliable contacts.
2) Acquire and rotate your food supplies.
3) Have a grab-and-go kit you can take if you need to evacuate to a shelter.

The book also has a bunch of recipes and supply lists.Laurindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17711878351045940315noreply@blogger.com
